The Kinki club "is the club" that build the history of Bologna's house club scene, so play there as a dj could mean "all right then, here we go" and Enrico Gasperini, formerly known as gAs, won this challenge. Always attracted by the nightlife, he started spinning vinyls at the age of eighteen, during his studies in Computer Sciences; his electronic music addiction led him into a partnership with an underground record store specialized in Detroit Techno, called MainStreet Records: the time spent on analyzing and listening the sound that has been something like "the start" for the modern house music made him grow quickly as an artist, and, day by day, he's become a real institution, with many residencies in the most important parties in town. During his dj sets, gAs loves crossing between house and techno in a unique way, continuously layering different grooves and topping them with many acapellas and tools. Thanks to his knowledge in the process of analog synthesis and the great skills in manipulating music softwares, gAs has also gained many good feedbacks since his first productions: especially focused on the bass frequencies, his tracks presents warm basslines, dark voice drops, looped synth's melodies and complex verbose rhythm patterns. Actually he's an active member of Memento Records, an indie electronic label founded by and Idriss D and Fabrizio Maurizi; he's also started a more "housy" side project, "gAs vs Linuz", with his friend Lino Pugliese: their tracks has been soon released on Danilo Vigorito's Orion Muzik.

Il Kinki è un club che ha fatto la storia del clubbing bolognese (e non solo). Una palestra che spesso non perdona, e che al tempo stesso ti può lanciare nel firmamento, se ti giochi bene le tue carte. Per Gas, all’anagrafe Enrico Gasperini, parlano i fatti: una presenza in continua ascesa nel panorama nazionale, residenze (Frame 2.0, Echoes) su residenze (Playhouse, Selecta) che si accumulano, prima solo come dj e successivamente piano piano anche come producer, fino ad arrivare nelle playlist di Mr. Riche Hawtin. Da sempre attratto dal mondo dei clubs underground, inizia a mixare i primi vinili all'età di diciotto anni, durante i suoi studi in Informatica; la sua grande passione per la musica elettronica lo porta a collaborare per diversi anni con un noto negozio di dischi bolognese, specializzato in Techno Detroit, ManiStreet Records: il tempo passato ad analizzare ed ascoltare il suono che è stato la base per la musica house dei giorni d'oggi ha contribuito enormemente alla sua crescita come artista, e, giorno per giorno, lo ha reso un vera e propria istituzione in città. Durante i suoi djsets, gAs ama svariare tra house e techno con uno stile unico, sovrapponendo continuamente grooves l'uno sull'altro, ed arricchendo la sua onda musicale con l'utilizzo di acapellas e tools. Grazie alla conoscenza del processo di sintesi analogica unita all'ottima capacità nell'utilizzo dei softwares di produzione musicale, anche le sue prime produzioni ricevono subito buoni feedbacks.
